The implications of Direct Tax Code on deduction under section 80c is an interesting topic of debate. The impact on DTC on section 80c migth be true or not because it is not implemented yet. So it is really hard to say anything about this provision on section 80c.However, still I would like to mention something that will be in all probability implemented in new DTC. Currently available section 80c for repayment of the housing loan might be continued. In the new provision the deduction in equity linked saving scheme might not be continued .
